Scentwork provides dogs with mental enrichment, builds confidence, and gives a natural outlet for their incredible sense of smell. Searching encourges problem solving, focus and independent thinking, while also strenghtening the relationship between dog and handler through teamwork, trust and shared success.

The Perfect Place To Start Your Scent Journey
The Perfect Place To Start Your Scent Journey
This foundation course is suitable for any dog and/or handler who is new to scent work. Small, friendly classes, 4 dogs maximum.
Attending dogs must be comfortable around other dogs and people.
Over the 5 weeks you will learn:

Not suitable for reactive dogs due to size/layout of venue.

- The basics of nosework and why dogs find it so motivating and confidence building.
- How to prepare, store and handle odour.
- How to condition your dog to a target odour.
- How to teach your dog to stay at the odour.
- How to read your dog's body language during a search.
- How to increase difficulty in your searches.

Continue Your Scent Journey
Continue Your Scent Journey
The Progression Course is designed to build on the skills you and your dog have already developed, introducing new challenges and more complex searches while strengthening the foundations already learned.
Suitable for dogs that have completed a Foundation Scent Course or who have equivalent scent work experience.
Over the 5 weeks you will learn:
Suitable for dogs that have completed a Foundation Scent Course or who have equivalent scent work experience.
Over the 5 weeks you will learn:
- How to begin training your dog’s final response (indication)
- Ending searches and sessions
- 5 factor trouble shooting for when things go wrong
- Introducing multiple hides and a ‘search on’ cue
- Beginning vehicle searches
- Blind searches
- Introducing distractions
